Most people have at least one broken relationship at work! Healing this is perhaps harder than healing a broken leg, but it can be done. However, in the case of a broken relationship, you don't have the benefit of a doctor to diagnose and prescribe treatment. But, you can help heal the relationship yourself. In the end, a healed relationship, perhaps one so healed it is even stronger than before, is better than a broken relationship.

If you feel yourself losing enjoyment about work, if the excitement and sense of accomplishment you once had is slowly being replaced by a lack of motivation, you may be sliding toward burnout.

To turn this around, you'll need to look at the underlying causes of the problem. Why do any of us enjoy work? And can we re-ignite those reasons in our own work environment? The answer is yes. There are at least six different reasons we enjoy work (apart from the money we make, of course!)

During this program, Dr. Erick Lauber, applied psychologist and director of leadership training and research at the Mid-Atlantic Research and Training Institute, will provide guidance from modern social science on both of these topics.

Dr. Erick Lauber is a speaker and consultant on leadership and personal growth and development. He is Director of Leadership Training and Research at the Mid-Atlantic Research and Training Institute at IUP, instructor for the undergraduate Leadership Academy, and a faculty member in the Journalism Dept.
