During this highly interactive session, we’ll take a deep dive into portable technology and investigate some great apps for business (and personal) productivity, explain the difference between Apple and Android and discuss more about The Cloud. Ever since he can remember, Ryan Pillar has been an enthusiast of anything electronic and technology driven. Fast forward to 2014 and that same passion for gadgets followed him into his professional life. As the hardware, software, and capabilities of tablets and phones exponentially expands all while the traditional office computing experience remains somewhat stagnant, Ryan continues to find ways to blend what many think of as consumer products with devices to help busy professionals manage their work/life balance.
Ryan’s current position as Graphics Production Specialist at SAE International was preceded by 10 years of Technical Sales and Application Analyst at Kern USA, a manufacturer of high speed printing and mailing software and hardware, and 2 years as a Systems Specialist at Pitney Bowes. Last year, Ryan was the recipient of PSAE’s 2012/2013 Member of the Year award.
Moving back to his native home of Pittsburgh from Columbus, Ohio to accept the position with SAE in 2011, Ryan currently lives in Pittsburgh’s South Hills with his wife Sheri and their 10 year old son, Tyler.
