Giving Back:  How You and Your Association Can Get Involved with the Community

Please join us at this year's PSAE holiday program which will feature a special presentation on "Giving Back" by Tom Baker, Chief Community Affairs Officers for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. Having just won a seat on County Council for District 1 in our area, Tom's presentation will contain strategies, stories, and concepts that empower association professionals, community leaders and lifelong learners to improve their professional and civic lives, join and lead groups and start making more of an impact both within and outside of work. Tom will discuss how associations and companies can get more involved with community organizations. Tom's motivational presentation will help participants determine how they can make a difference in positively impacting their communities, companies and organizations.

Tom Baker is the Chief Community Affairs Officer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. He is the President of Baker Leadership and the author of three books: "Get Involved! Making the Most of Your 20s and 30s" (released 2008) "Give Our Passion" (released 2010), and "Empowered in Pittsburgh" (released 2012). Tom is the Founder and Chief Program Officer of Get Involved!, Inc., a 501c3 public charity non-profit organization that educates and empowers young leaders.
