Jason will describe VisitPittsburgh’s marketing strategies for bringing meetings, conventions and visitors to Pittsburgh.   Besides learning why such major groups as the VFW and the Fraternal Order of Police chose Pittsburgh for their 2015 conventions, you’ll learn why Pittsburgh was recently named among the 20 great places in the world to experience in 2012 by National Geographic Traveler. Come find out how the local Convention & Visitors Bureau can help your association or company by working hand in hand with the hospitality community to generate economic impact for our region.

 

 

 

Jason Fulvi is Executive Director of Convention Sales for VisitPittsburgh (formally the Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau). He manages the team responsible for convention sales for Pittsburgh and the entire Allegheny County area. Previously, Jason was Senior National Sales Director for VisitPittsburgh where he was responsible for managing a territorial market consisting of the labor market and national associations based in the suburban Washington, D.C. area. 

 

Prior to joining VisitPittsburgh in 2002, Jason was Assistant Director of Sales for the Hilton Pittsburgh. His background includes more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and previously served as Director of Sales at the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh International Airport, Account Executive with TravelOne, Account Executive with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Sales Manager at the William Penn Hotel and several positions at the Westin Convention Center Hotel (formally the Vista International Hotel Pittsburgh). 

 

Jason is a Pittsburgh area native and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management.
