About the presentation:  To kick off our full day of education, we are pleased to have Dr. Mitchel Nickols begin the day with a presentation on team development and how to avoid key team dysfunctions. Dr. Nickols will discuss how you can develop your best team and empower them to succeed. He will give solutions for working with difficult staff members, managing your time effectively when you don’t have enough and making ethical decisions in the workplace. Dr. Nickols offers advice on executive coaching, life coaching, business ethics and diversity training.

 

Dr. Nickols is a five-time national award winning TV host, producer and leadership professor who inspires and motivates his audience. As a proven executive, he has produced/hosted  "A Nickols' Worth" that is seen nationally on the CTV Network, winning 5 national awards, and is also an award-winning newspaper columnist. Dr. Nickols, as principal keynote and conference speaker, brings his unique communication skills to inspire, inform, and motivate. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, speaks to diverse populations, has mentored more than 400 professionals in both the public and private sector, and has more than 18 years of experience as a graduate and undergraduate school professor.

About the presentation: PSAE is lucky enough to have three organizations that have rebranded themselves over the past few years – SAE International, VisitPittsburgh and Printing Industries of America. Marketing executives from each organization will give a presentation on the process they followed to rebrand their company to successfully reflect their key mission and strategic plan. Since company branding is such an important part of marketing and positioning your organization within the industry to your stakeholders, you won’t want to miss this program. The presentation will offer adequate time for panel discussion and questions from the audience.

Presenter:  Patricia Raffaele, Vice President of Professional Services, The Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania

 

About the presentation:  Healthcare is such a hot topic right now that this presentation is designed to be highly interactive. What are the burning questions that are keeping you up at night on healthcare? The program will include the top ten healthcare issues that seem to be on everyone’s mind and it will cover some of the policies and politics that are affecting the industry.

 

 

Patricia Raffaele serves as the Vice President of Professional Services at The Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania. The Hospital Council is a regional trade association representing healthcare organizations in 30 counties. In her current position, Pat serves as the primary spokesperson for the organization and works with both media and policymakers on issues related to healthcare and health policy. During her 23-year tenure at the Hospital Council, Pat continues to focus on developing educational programs and networking opportunities for the Hospital Council members and works extensively with community partners to advocate on behalf of and represent the Hospital Council and its members.
